Seed Golf Ltd (“Seed”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we use your personal information in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable, the Australian Privacy Act 1988, and other relevant data protection laws.
Information We Collect
We collect the personal information needed to process your orders, deliver your purchases, manage your account or subscription, provide customer support, improve our website, and communicate with you. This includes your contact details, delivery information, account details if you choose to create one, technical data such as your IP address and browsing activity, and any messages you send to us.
Our products and services are suitable for all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13 years of age, and if we become aware that such information has been provided, it will be deleted.
We offer Seed Aces, our hole‑in‑one recognition gift. If you qualify for Seed Aces and choose to take part, additional information may be requested such as your name, address and a photo, along with consent to use the provided image so we can celebrate your achievement and send your gift. If you prefer not to share a photo or do not want us to feature it, you can still tell us about your achievement, but we will not be able to send the gift.
Further details can be found in our Seed Aces Terms and Conditions.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to fulfil and deliver your orders, manage your account or subscription, respond to enquiries, send service updates, improve our website and advertising, prevent fraud, operate optional gift and recognition features, and meet our legal and tax obligations. If you choose to receive marketing communications, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Legal Basis
We process your personal data so we can provide the products and services you request, meet our legal and tax obligations, improve and protect our website and operations, and send marketing communications when you have chosen to receive them. Optional features, such as sharing a photo for a gift or recognition, are based on your consent.
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, such as our e‑commerce platform, payment processors, delivery partners, communication tools, and analytics and advertising services. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us. We do not sell your personal information.
International Transfers
Some of our service providers are located in other countries, such as the United States, where our payment processing and certain analytics and communication services are based. When your information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognised protections.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand visitor behaviour and deliver relevant advertising. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through our cookie preferences.
We use services such as Google Analytics and Meta technologies to help us understand website usage and advertising performance. These services process information about your visit on our behalf.
Marketing Communications
If you provide your email address or phone number, we may use it to send updates about your orders or respond to your enquiries. Marketing emails or SMS messages are sent only when you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe or withdraw consent at any time. Essential service messages relating to orders may still be sent.
If you sign up for SMS messages, you agree to receive automated marketing messages, including cart reminders, at the number provided. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP. Message frequency may vary and standard rates may apply.
Social Media Sharing
If you share your hole‑in‑one photo publicly on social media and tag Seed Golf or use our related hashtags, we may repost or feature that content in line with the platform’s terms of use. This applies only to publicly shared content.
Data Retention
We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law. Order information may be retained for legal and tax reasons. Account and marketing information is kept until you request deletion or unsubscribe. Information collected for optional gift or recognition features is kept in line with the Terms & Conditions of that feature. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
